Your help would be very Gratefully Appreciated, Thankyou very much. (Just try your best effort) --Jose77 05:23, 16 Awghust 2007 (UTC)

your welcome buddy. ohh by the way, i am a decent muslim, so i am not sure some of the translation. For instance God is the same with our Allah, but i used "xuda" instead, the word itself is possibly from Persian.in Uyghur, xuda is the very general and common term .there is also another term "tengri" which is original Uyghur word for god, which is used as early as we practiced Shamanism or Tengrism, and still in use.

regards
Barat .

THANKYOU VERY VERY MUCH Barat for your most outstanding, magnificent, and admirable translation effort.

I am very very Grateful.

May you be Successful in life! --Jose77 09:36, 25 Awghust 2007 (UTC)

In regards to the Uyghur translation of the word "God", here is my opinion:

Chinese christians use the word "神" or "上帝" (pronounced as shàng-dì which means: Supreme God/Above Sovereign/Lord On High), as the Chinese equivalent for "God".

(The word "shàng dì" had already been in use long before Christianity arrived in China and was never represented with images or idols in Chinese tradition.)

I checked up the Chinese to Uyghur dictionary and the word "上帝" (shàng dì) translated to:

xuda, alla, tengri

Therefore it is totally fine for you to use the word "xuda", "tengri", or "allah" as the Uyghur equivalent for God.

I personally do not regard this is as any important issue and, as long as the overall meaning of the translation is conveyed, I am more than satisfied already. --Jose77 09:36, 25 Awghust 2007 (UTC)

Hi, there,

You are right:-) In modern Uyghur, "xuda " is the most common term, so we can stick to that i think.
